Singapore Doing Well Economically, Says Sukamto Sia

As much of the world is still recovering from the economic recession from a few years ago, Sukarman Sukamto’s home of Singapore has been doing very well. Traditionally, Singapore has always had a very successful economy thanks to tight controls and a well-run government that balances public needs with private and global business.

Sukarman Sukamto himself is a prominent Singaporean business tycoon who is involved in many businesses in the country and abroad. Sukamto Sia has been working in business for decades and his success reflects the great deal of respect his colleagues have for him and the expertise he brings to the business table.

His expertise involves a strong knowledge of the economy in Singapore, which is a big attraction for businesses all over the world. Despite the global slowdown affecting many economies very negatively, Singapore has been able to continue GDP growth in the low percentages year after year. Their banks do not need to do much stimulus or tweaking of the economy as many other national banks are doing in the US, Japan, South Korea, and other developed economies.

Sukamto Sia is happy that Singapore has been able to weather the economic downturn in a very positive way. Sure things slowed down, but the economy in general has been very strong at holding back the worst of a very serious recession.

This means that businessmen like Sukarman Sukamto have been able to keep up what they do best without fear of a total collapse in the economy. This in turn means that consumer confidence in Singapore is high and that the economy will ultimately be healthier in the future.

Sukamto Sia believes the most striking indicator of how strong the Singaporean economy is the unemployment rate. Believe it or not but the unemployment rate in his country is actually the lowest it has been in five years!

Sukamto Sia Thinks Complaining is Unhelpful

There are a great many habits that people can develop throughout their lives. Some of these habits are beneficial, some don't make a difference either way, and other habits can be very detrimental to a person's life and their professional career.

Sukarman Sukamto has a lot of habits that have helped him be very successful in the world of business. He has a habit of keeping organized with every activity he does. This has helped him immensely as he has been in charge of multiple businesses at various points in his career. Another habit he has is that he has to make sure that things are done correctly.

This has led to his very direct and hands on approach to dealing with employees and issues facing his businesses. This could be a bad habit for Sukamto Sia, but he is not an aggressive hands-on manager of others. He simply believes in making sure that people know what is expected of them in a very clear and easy to understand way.

One habit that Sukarman Sukamto does not have and looks to teach others to get rid of is the habit to complain. It's very easy for people to develop a habit to complain about almost everything in their life. Sukarman Sukamto doesn't believe that complaining does any good for a person, even if it's meant to commiserate with coworkers or others facing the same challenges. He believes that expressing confidence and making statements about tackling whatever challenge or issue is in front of people is the best course of action.

When Sukamto Sia has to work with people that complain, he makes an effort to help them get over this bad habit. He believes that complaining has no place in the business world, and especially not in the rest of the world. If everyone took the energy they spent complaining into overcoming their challenges they wouldn't have anything to complain about!

Sukamto Sia is a Global Traveler

There are a lot of activities that people can engage in to expand their perspective of other people and the rest of the world. One of the best ways to expand your mind and understanding of the world is to travel. Traveling as much as you can throughout your life has a lot of benefits psychologically and emotionally.

Sukarman Sukamto lives in a very diverse place. He lives in Singapore, which is home to millions of people of many different ethnicities. So for his professional life, Sukarman Sukamto was able to get in touch with a variety of cultures. This sparked in him a desire to see more of the world and the people that make up the diverse cultures he had never come in contact with.

Luckily for Sukamto Sia, he became a very successful business tycoon in his career. This means he has been able to travel a great deal throughout his career. Sukarman Sukamto has been to dozens of countries around the world and is very appreciative of the opportunity to see every country he has been able to visit. He loves meeting new people who have lived entirely different lives than he has. The perspectives they bring to life and to problems facing other people are very beneficial to hear and to listen to.

Sukamto Sia believes that hearing other perspectives from other cultures around the world helps to expand your own mind and make you a better thinker and communicator. Without the ability to travel, a person has a very hard time developing those skills since their own culture has so much control over the way they think and the way they view the world.

Whenever Sukarman Sukamto decides to retire, he believes he will spend his free time traveling and exploring all of the countries he never got a chance to visit during his business travels.

Sukamto Sia is a Hands On Leader, Worker, and Boss

There are a wide variety of philosophies towards work and managing people used all over the world. In some countries, the boss is the commander and controls every aspect of the company. In other countries, bosses are simply there as mentors and to guide other workers to reach the goals of the company. Many places have a combination of the two and create their own management-to-employee systems to help their companies run as efficiently as possible.

Sukamto Sia

For Sukamto Sia, running his multiple businesses can only be accomplished by him being a hands-on leader. Sukarman Sukamto has made sure that his employees when they first begin their work know exactly what is expected of them. Sukarman Sukamto is a firm believer that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. At the very least, you have to show others how you want something done; of course one person cannot do everything in a company.

The attention that Sukarman Sukamto pays to his company and his employees as a hands-on leader has truly paid off. He is a business tycoon in his home country of Singapore and has led a very successful professional life. He credits much of his success to his ability to help others see the vision he has for how something should be done or how the results of an activity should be.

Sukarman Sukamto doesn't think he could manage people any other way. For him, being hands on is a part of his nature and he feels much better running his companies knowing that his employees have seen exactly what is expected of them to be successful.

Sometimes it can be tough for Sukamto Sia to be so hands on; it is very time-consuming and tiring. Ultimately, the effort is worth the reward at the end of the day.

Singapore's Economy is Booming says Sukamto Sia

Many of the world's largest cities are also global economic hubs for their countries and the rest of the world. The most prominent that come to mind are London, New York, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Seoul. But there are a lot of other cities that are quickly becoming economic superpowers on their own. That or they have long been influential economic cities in their own right, they just didn't get the attention other large economic centers enjoy.

One of those powerful economic cities has long been Singapore. Located in an excellent spot in southeast Asia for air and sea transportation, the city and its government for decades have been creating policies that improve the economic status of their capital. For Sukamto Sia, Singapore became his home city even though he was born in Indonesia. He became a naturalized Singaporean not long after realizing the opportunities in the great city of Singapore.

In recent years, much of the economic news that Sukamto Sia has been reading concerns downturns in the global economy. Many of the traditional hubs of global economic power and their home countries are struggling with debt and other problems brought about by the global recession. Sukamto Sia is pleased to see that Singapore has weathered that storm and has a booming economy.

Sukamto Sia

For quite a few of the last few years, Singapore has had the highest rate of economic growth in all of Asia. This is impressive considering the growth that super economies like China and India used to have. In recent years it has had growth between 5-10% and this is definitely a good sign for Sukamto Sia as he has many business ventures in the city.

With continued governance in favor of economic development and involvement of international businesses, Sukamto Sia doesn't think that Singapore's economy will slow down. He's happy to live in such a booming city!

Traveling With Children: Some Tips from Sukamto Sia

Sukamto Sia’s family enjoys an annual vacation to Florida where they visit the Disneyworld resort and other theme parks. Though Sukamto Sia’s children are older now, when they were younger traveling was much more difficult. Sukamto Sia and his wife developed some tricks for making traveling with children easier.

If you are flying with children, as Sukamto Sia and his wife often did, make sure to pack plenty of snacks. Give you child something to chew or suck on during take-offs and landings, says Sukamto Sia, to prevent their ears from popping painfully when the pressure changes. With babies you can offer a bottle or pacifier during this part of the trip.

In the same vein, if you are flying with children you should prepare them for the security at the airports, says Sukamto Sia. Role-play the process of taking off shoes and jackets, and explain how bags go through the x-ray machine and come out the other side. Preparing children for this part of the travel process can help relieve some confusion.

When you visit theme parks, rent a stroller even if you think your child is too old for it, Sukamto Sia recommends. The parks will probably involve more walking than your child is used to and they may need a break. Even if your child doesn’t use the stroller, you can use it to carry bags and sweaters and anything else you might be carrying.

Keep your itinerary loose when traveling with kids, Sukamto Sia says. Some days everyone will just be too tired to finish all the things on the schedule. If you pack in some extra time, you can hit any amusements you missed during those hours. Make sure there is some time to unwind back at the hotel in the afternoons as well. Dragging your kids around when they are overtired will just make everyone miserable, explains Sukamto Sia.
